I've been trying to make playdough for Mika to safely play. I tried several recipes but failed, it's too stiff, too soggy, too floury, the salt didn't dissolve, etc. But after experimenting and adjusting some recipes, I found this is the best measurement so far.
The texture is what I exactly want, Mika loves the softness and how elastic it is, the color is also very vibrant, she can play with this for more than twenty minutes, the best time record for one seating play so far 😄
So bring the pan out, and start making this moms!!!!
PLAY DOUGH RECIPE

1 1/2 cup salt
2 cups water
2 tablespoons oil
2 tablespoons cream of tartar
Food coloring
Directions:
1. Combine all ingredients in a pan and stir. Cook over low heat, stirring until a ball forms.
2. Let cool for a minute.
3. Separate dough into equal parts. Add food coloring and knead thoroughly until desired color.
4. Store in airtight container
Use your own judgment when you give toys for your child, always assist and watch your kid while playing, playdough is more fun if played together, right? This homemade playdough is safe to swallow because it's non toxic and all from food ingredients but still there is a lot of salt here, it's totally OK if your little child put a little in her mouth accidentally, but double would be considering not OK 😄
