Recently my daughter caught a cold. She had a stuffy-runny nose and really annoyed by it so I took this tool out of my drawer to help her ease the discomfort by sucking all that slimy mucus. I hardly use this tool of sucking boogers and mucus because my daughter is tough and not easily get ill, but whenever she sees this, she will run away from me. When she was still a baby, it was easier, I just hold her in my arm then easily use the tool on her. She always cried after that, and I assume it made any tickles and discomfort in her nose.

You can call this a poem, but this is actually inspired by a letter from my lovely sister that she wrote when I was just in first month of momhood. My delivery process was hard (whose doesn't?), I was tired and feel anxious in being a momma. Every little things about my baby worry me, her first diaper rash even could make me restless and felt guilty, wondered what I did wrong.
Have you ever felt that? Confused and worried too much? Felt nobody can understand your exhaustion and fear as first time mom? Well, for all first experienced mom, I feel you... Read this along and be encouraged, momma... Hey mama, Just stopping in to remind you that for as much as you love your own precious baby, God loves you and He even more than that. You cannot begin to fathom His great love and the delight He holds for you and your family. So every time you begin to doubt your worth, or feel insecure, stop and look at your baby's face. Is she insecure about your love for her? Does she doubt you in the presence of your love and care for her? Of course not. Mama, you know how you have longed for and loved her even before she was born. She is secure and she knows it. Don't let devil deceive you with lies and accusations that you are not good enough or you are not capable in caring for your baby! Don't listen to lies that you won't be able to lift her up when she needs you or you can't enjoy every heartbeats that follow everytime you hold her close and any of those negative things. God is healing every burst and exhaustion you have after that long delivery process. He is bringing you not only physical healing but also times of refreshing to your soul right now. So mama...God loves with a perfect love. And He directs that love straight to your heart. Don't you dare doubt you are cared for by God Himself and that you'll be able to do everything He asks you to do! Put away any thoughts that you are alone. Be secure in the Perfect One's loving embrace. His hand is on your head. He will never leave you. Just as you won't abandon your baby, He won't leave His alone either. Lift your eyes up to whom saves you. And accept freely that you are in His loving hands. His hand is on your head when you are learning how to take care of your baby, breastfeed, bathe her, or even change her diapers. Go with God's strength! Enjoy every seconds of this new realm called motherhood, and when you feel tired, nervous, and afraid, remember God and His love for you. Candlenut oil, one of the natural oil that has been used traditionally by mommies since long time ago for treating their baby's hair and skin. In Hawaii, candlenuts oil is used for baby massage. With vitamin E and omega 6/linoleic acid, this oil can protect our skin from sunburnt, moisture and nurture the skin and hair natural way. My mom even used this on my baldy scalp when I was still a baby. I got the benefit from it when I grow up as my hair become thick, and not easily broken. After pregnancy I didn't get a bad hairloss either, so I think this is because of my mom regular treatment for my scalp when I was still a baby. My mom told me she made it by her self by roasting the nuts with her wok until the oil comes out, then apply the oil on my scalp (when the oil has been cooled off course), just about a half hour before bath. Nowadays I hardly know mommies who still roast the candlenuts to take the oil for their babies' scalp, including me. I use the candlenuts oil for Mika's hair treatment since she was a week old but I don't make it by my self. I use this Just apply some oil on your baby's scalp about half an hour or an hour before bath. You can also use it as massage oil for your baby. Please also allergy test first before applying it to your baby by put some oil behind her ear to see if there is rash after using. The product that I'm using is from ADM Factory based in Surabaya.
